Polynt has announced a further increase of €150 on its entire range of composites products including unsaturated polyester resins (UPR), gelcoats and ancillary products.
‘For months the chemical industry has been subjected to a continuous and unprecedented escalation of the main UPR raw materials,’ the company said. ‘Most recently, also the energy complex and the European mandatory CO2 quotas (ETS) are spiking up to unprecedented levels, deeply undermining the economics of our unsaturated polyester resins. Polynt Composites will continue to make every effort to limit the impact of these rising costs upon product pricing.’
