Nominees could include inventors, engineers, designers, innovators, polymer scientists, academics, researchers, business leaders, sustainability pioneers or outspoken advocates for the use of plastics, the organizers said. Nominees should, however, have made an important contribution to the growth of the UK industry. Posthumous nominations are also welcomed, Interplas said.
“Interplas has been a focal point for the UK plastics industry for seventy-five years and as we reflect on that history it is a timely point to recognise those individuals who have played their part in driving the UK industry forward during that period.,” said Duncan Wood, CEO of Rapid News Group, which runs the show.
