Partnership focuses on digital manufacturing

BASF’s 3D printing company Forward AM has formed a partnership with HP to promote digital manufacturing, an integrated approach to manufacturing centered around a computer system.

The company has developed a new polypropylene (PP) material for HP’s Jet Fusion 5200 Series 3D printing which it says could help speed up the design and production of 3D printed parts, and at higher volumes.

‘HP and Forward AM by BASF share a deep commitment to accelerating the shift to digital manufacturing by delivering innovative, sustainable solutions and matetials that open up entirely new opportunities,’ said Ramon Pastor, interim president of 3d printing at HP.
