Owens Corning recognized for leadership in climate and water

Glass fiber company Owens Corning has been named one of 25 global companies on a list for both climate and water. This achievement recognizes actions completed in 2016 to manage environmental risks, cut carbon emissions, and enhance water stewardship.

The list has been put together by non-profit company CDP, formerly known as the Carbon Disclosure Project, which works to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and safeguard water resources and forests.

‘Being awarded a position on CDP’s A Lists for both climate and water highlights the progress we’ve made on our 2020 sustainability goals, specifically the greenhouse gas emission and water consumption intensity targets,’ said Frank O’Brien-Bernini, chief sustainability officer.
