Chemicals company Nouryon has acquired Zhejiang Friend Chemical Co, reportedly the largest Chinese producer of triethyl aluminum (TEAL), a metal alkyl used in the production of polypropylene and polyethylene.
The acquisition will improve the company’s its position as a global producer of TEAL, Nouryon said. It includes products, technology, customer lists and a manufacturing site in Jiaxing, located 100 km southwest of Shanghai. It has around 60 employees
Last year Nouryon company completed its acquisition of Brazil-based Polinox, a producer of ketone peroxides, used in the production of various plastic and composite products.
