Notus Composites has developed a new low temperature curing prepreg system. According to the company, Notus NE7 allows composite manufacturers to cure components at temperatures as low as 70°C.

The standard cure cycle is 12 hours at 70°C, matching the typical cycle time for an infused part with a component Tg of 85°C, Notus said. NE7 materials have an outlife of 30 days at 20°C and are available in all prepreg and Notus single sided N1-Preg formats with unidirectional, multiaxial, and woven reinforcements. NE7 can also be supplied as a resin film, the company said.

The prepreg is suitable for applications such as marine, architecture, industrial and wind energy.
