A new RINA certification has been awarded to Crystic Crestomer 1153PA for the structural bonding of glass fibre reinforced plastic (GRP) composites.

Crestomer 1153PA, which is pre-accelerated and MEKP cured (2% w/v), was developed by Scott Bader to offer an 80% longer working time to OEMs, fabricators and installers who want to bond together very large GRP parts.

With its significantly longer gel time, Crestomer 1153PA is specifically aimed at bonding applications for fibreglass boats over 25 m (82 ft) long, as well as other non-marine structural applications.

Two other grades have also been re-approved by RINA:

  • Crestomer 1152PA; and
  • Crestomer Advantage 30, which is a pre-packed 380 ml cartridge.
