New IMCD president

Chemicals company IMCD Group has appointed Nicolas Kaufmann as its president for the Americas.

He replaces Marcus Jordan, now chief operating officer (COO) of the company.

Kaufmann reportedly has almost 20 years of international business and management experience and has been involved in the development of new markets in the Americas and mergers and acquisitions in Germany, Mexico and Brazil.

Plans are for him to help IMCD develop new supplier partnerships, expand the market and improve the region’s digitization and sustainability.

"I am honored for the opportunity to lead the next chapter of IMCD’s growth story in the Americas region as president," said Kaufmann. "A sincere thanks goes to Marcus for building the foundation in the Americas, which propelled our rapid growth as a speciality distributor and an industry leader."

The IMCD Group had revenues of €3,435 million in 2021 and has more than 3,700 employees in over 50 countries.
