Composite tooling specialist Nèos International, based in the UK, has opened a new headquarters and composite manufacturing facility in Derby.

The company says that it plans to establish itself further in Derby and increase the current customer base across multiple industries. Nèos already supplies parts to Formula One, and the motorsport, aerospace, defence, rail and space industries, it said.

Plans are to generate an annual revenue of £20 million from the facility over two years, with up to 150 direct employee roles filled. Nèos and the local council will also develop a technical apprentice program.

‘Many of our customers and the sectors we serve are represented within Derby city or the wider county,’ said Carl Roberts, Nèos International CEO. ‘From aerospace, to automotive and from nuclear to infrastructure, you can find all these sectors represented within Derby. By assimilating several of our business units together in one facility, we expect to leverage the very best of what the city has to offer in terms of the workforce and the supply chain.’
