Monty Felix, CEO of Alaglass Pools, St. Matthews, South Carolina, USA, is the new President of ACMA and will serve until 30 June 2011. He succeeds John Tickle, President of Strongwell Corp, Bristol, Virginia, who will remain on the Board’s Executive Committee as Immediate Past President.
"Never before have there been so many challenges and so many opportunities facing the composites industry,” says Felix. “I am taking the reins of ACMA during a tough economy, but I am optimistic that the advantages composites bring to so many end-use applications and the advocacy ACMA offers its members will push the industry toward greater growth.”
The new Board of Directors also includes:
- Lori Luchak, President of Miles Fiberglass and Composites, Portland, Oregon, as President-Elect;
- Steve Walling, Plasticolors Inc, Ashtabula, Ohio, as Vice President;
- John Hoskinson, Gruber Systems, Valencia, California, as Secretary; and
- Leon Garoufalis, Composites One, Arlington Heights, Illinois, as Supplier at Large.
Jake Axel, Axel Plastics Research Laboratories, Woodside, New York, and David Groner, Clarion Bathware, Shippenville, Pennsylvania, also join the Board of Directors.
