He will succeed Wilfrid Gambade, who will be appointed senior vice-president of DSM Nutritional Products.
DSM adds that Bert Bakker has a background in chemical engineering and business administration and has nearly 20 years of international experience in General Management and Sales & Marketing. He started his career in 1995 at Astra Zeneca, and joined Hercules Resins in 1997. Since 1999 he has been working with DSM in various business units: 3 years with DSM Desotech, 4 years with DSM Composite Resins and 6.5 years with DSM Coating Resins.
In his new position, Bert Bakker will be based in Schaffhausen, Switzerland.
