Bercella says that it has designed and manufactured the carbon fiber bodywork of the new Alfa Romeo Giulia electric race car.
According to the company, the 500kW vehicle will compete in the Pure ETCR (Electric Touring Car Racing), the first world touring championship dedicated to electric cars scheduled for 2021.
Besides the bodywork, Bercella also plans to design a number of electric powertrain structures for the race.
According to the company, its design balanced aerodynamic requirements with safety in structural performance, for instance through installing Kevlar anti-intrusion bars inside the bumpers.
