Materials testing specialist receives Nadcap accreditation

Westmoreland Mechanical Testing & Research’s (WMT&R) UK facility has received Nadcap accreditation for nonmetallic and composites testing at its new facility in Banbury, Oxfordshire.

The approval follows a major investment in composites testing personnel and technology at WMT&R’s new UK laboratory, the company says.

With the accreditation, WMT&R is now positioned to offer improved composite materials testing services for the aerospace, automotive, and other industries that are increasingly turning to nonmetallic materials.  WMT&R has already been approved by Nadcap for metallic testing for several years.

‘We are pleased to gain Nadcap accreditation for composites,’ stated Alan Cooper, WMT&R’s managing director in the UK. ‘This accreditation, along with our other Nadcap approvals, reflects our dedication to being a world leader in materials testing, and maintaining close relationships with our customers in the aerospace and automotive fields.’
