Leading composites aerospace laboratory Delsen rebrands

Element Los Angeles will play a key role in the company’s alignment with Aerospace Primes that are refocusing their R&D budgets increasingly towards composite materials.

On the rebranding, Rick Sluiters, Element’s Executive Vice President, Aerospace, comments: “We are delighted that Delsen has now officially become part of the Element platform. Our goal is for Element Los Angeles to become a global centre of excellence for polymer matrix composites (PMC) knowledge by 2018.”

The Nadcap-approved laboratory in Glendale, CA, holds a number of major Aerospace Prime approvals and recently received Airbus accreditation for AITM 2.0005, 2.0003, 2.0004, 2.0005 and 2.0038 standards.

The site is now fully integrated into the Element platform, encompassing quality systems, health and safety and technical and commercial sharing. It will be officially known as Element Los Angeles from 1 October 2014.
