Brentonico (Trento)-based Lavesan produces and markets resins, gelcoats, bonding pastes and glass fibre reinforcements for different composite material production technologies. Lavesan products are applied in a wide range of industries including marine, road transport, railway and construction.

GGC, part of the French Gazechim Group, is mainly active in the distribution of composite materials for yachting, aeronautic, automotive, sport and leisure markets.

Lavesan will complete GGC’s setup in Italy alongside the group’s subsidiaries Resipol, Imatec and Gazechim Composites Italia, strengthening its geographical presence, product range, know-how, and sourcing.

The Benedetti and Corazzin families will maintain a minority stake in Lavesan and continue to actively support the future development of the company within GGC.

“Thanks to this partnership, our team will be able to reach new and significant milestones, confirming our history as a dynamic and successful company,” said Jean-Marc Libes, director of GGC.
