At the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show in September Lamborghini’s President and CEO Stephan Winkelmann said that only 20 units of the new car will be produced, and they will be destined for track use. The first cars are scheduled to be delivered early 2013.
The Sesto Elemento technology demonstrator, unveiled at last year’s Paris Motor Show, features a carbon fibre composite monocoque and extensive use of carbon fibre throughout the car. It sports an extremely lightweight body of 999 kg, a power output of 570 hp, and a V10 engine, and a power-to-weight ratio of just 1.75 kg per.
