Kaman reports 2017 Q2 results

Kaman Corp has reported financial results for the second fiscal quarter ended 30 June 2017.

‘We are pleased with our results for the second quarter, as we continue to execute on our operational improvement initiatives and leverage incremental sales volume across both segments,’ said Neal J Keating, chairman, president and CEO.

In Aerospace, strong demand for the company’s bearings products, improved performance on the structures programs and an increase in sales for the missile fuze programs helped offset an anticipated temporary shift in sales mix of the joint programmable program. The specialty bearings products performance was also strong with sales of self-lubricating airframe bearings and high precision miniature ball bearings both increasing year-over-year and sequentially. Kaman says.

The company’s 2017 outlook includes an increase in sales of US$1,100.0 million to US$1,125.0 million and sales in aerospace of US$730.0 million to US$760.0 million.
