JM expands glass fibre production in Slovakia

JM says the expanded furnace, scheduled to start up in the fourth quarter of 2012, will expand the production of selected products by as much as 40%.

JM's products include ThermoFlow® chopped strands and StarRov® LFT Roving for thermoplastic compounds and, for thermosets, StarRov® Roving for continuous glass reinforcement and MultiStar® Roving for choppable glass strands.

US headquartered Johns Manville, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is a manufacturer products for building insulation, mechanical insulation, commercial roofing, and roof insulation, as well as fibres and nonwovens for commercial, industrial and residential applications.
