Industrial production of recycled fiber

Teijin Aramid has carried out the first industrial-scale production of its Twaron composite fiber made using recycled feedstock.

According to the company, the material produced with recycled content has the same strength and durability as the original fibers.

“Teijin Aramid has been mechanically recycling end-of-life para-aramid products for decades,” the company said. “Now, our physical recycling technology will make circular aramids possible.”
