Windform composite materials, suitable for 3D printing, have been on display at the Maker Faire in San Francisco, USA this May.
The polyamide based powders, reinforced with glass fibres or carbon fibers, can be used to make micro satellites used in space missions, customized medical devices, design objects of various shapes as well as end-use parts of racing cars. One application on show was the Energica Ego sport electric motorbike, designed and developed with Windform materials.
