Some of the latest product applications utilising Huntsman rapid tooling, adhesives and structural composites will be on display.
Developments for the wind and marine sectors include toughened, Germanischer Lloyd (GL) approved Araldite® adhesives utilising new chemical thixotropy, and epoxy resin infusion systems for production of large parts.
In the automotive sector, Huntsman highlights include the ‘U-Box’ e-tool, which provides information on an urban vehicle built using environmentally sustainable components. Huntsman products were used in each stage of the U-Box’s construction, including toughened, halogen free and fire resistant resins, flexible composite, thin barrier coatings for OLEDs and composite bonders.
Huntsman will also present its latest Araldite® 2000+ adhesives for all types of plastic substrate bonding.
At the Open Technology Forum on 10 November, Laetitia Dumora, Composite & Tooling technical support engineer at Huntsman, will discuss the possibilities of building an electric concept car using environmentally sustainable components and processes.
