EconCore, which makes thermoplastic honeycomb sandwich materials, has signed a license agreement with Kotobukiya Fronte, a Japanese manufacturer of car interior components.

According to EconCore, its honeycomb sandwich panels are suitable for the automotive industry. With the new license agreement, its honeycomb production process is now being used by a Tier one supplier, Econcore says. Kotobukiya Fronte can also integrate production and material technologies by forming rigid panels with in-line lamination of nonwoven and carpet surface layers.
