Hexcel and Metyx develop pultrusion

Hexcel is collaborating with Metyx to make carbon pultruded profiles made from polyurethane (PU) resin and unidirectional carbon fiber for the wind energy market.

Hexcel makes polyurethanes for the ski industry combined and composites for wind energy applications. It is planning to expand to other markets for composite applications.

Metyx is a manufacturer of non-crimp fabric (NCF) and woven glass and carbon, consumables, core and fabric kitting, molds, prototypes, and components for industries such as  wind energy, marine, automotive, rail and construction.
