GKN Aerospace has been selected to manufacture parts for the D328eco, a new aircraft launched by Deutsche Aircraft.

Plans are for the development of the D328eco to focus on sustainability in both the product and production, GKN said.

Deutsche Aircraft will be working with GKN Aerospace on the development of a composite empennage and the industrialisation of this airframe main assembly which includes the rear fuselage and the vertical and horizontal tail plane fin.

‘In the quest for more sustainable and environmentally friendly aviation, we are excited to become part of the D328eco program,’ said John Pritchard, president at GKN Aerospace. ‘GKN Aerospace is proud to bring its wealth of experience in design and certification, in conjunction with key technological innovations on lightweight composites.’
