GKN Aerospace wins Bombardier aircraft wing structures contract

The ailerons will be developed and manufactured at GKN Aerospace’s Munich, Germany, wing structures operation. The winglets will be made by the company’s team on the Isle of Wight, UK.

Winglet design and build is a growing area of the GKN Aerospace business activity. The company is already contracted to provide winglets for the Bombardier CSeries aircraft and supplies winglets for a number of other aircraft platforms.

“We are very proud to have received this contract from Triumph Aerostructures for the winglets and ailerons on this high performance aircraft," says Marcus Bryson, CEO, GKN Aerospace and Land Systems.

"These items will make an important contribution to the Global 7000 and Global 8000 aircraft achieving their industry-leading range, speed, fuel burn and emissions goals.”
