The 50,000 ft2 facility in Leicestershire will be built next to FORMAX's existing site. It will house a Karl Mayer Malitronic® carbon fibre multiaxial line, which is scheduled to be commissioned in March.
The opening of the automotive facility follows the launch of a number of new automotive fabrics during 2013, including the aFORM range, available in weights of 150-300 g/m2 and optimised for Class A surface finishes.
FORMAX already works with a number of Europe’s key automotive Tier 1 manufacturers and OEMs.
