According to ebalta, the new epoxy board TC460 has been successfully market tested across Europe over the last six months for the manufacture of precision patterns and tools for specialist automotive and aerospace applications where high temperature carbon fibre prepreg is required to produce composite parts.
TC460 is purple in colour and has a density of 0.74 g/cm3 and a shore D of 78.
ebalta reports that the board offers a heat deflection temperature (HDT) of 232°C coupled with a low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) and excellent dimensional stability.
ebalta's high temperature adhesive LH30 is available for use with TC460.
