The 3.5 ton distribution truck features a carbon fibre reinforced plastics (CFRP) refrigeration structure and chassis.

The use of carbon fibre composites reduces the weight of the vehicle leading to savings in diesel consumption and lower emissions, plus a 40% increase in payload.

The CFRP refrigeration technology provides an effective solution to carbon emission and noise, two of the most critical issues in refrigerated transportation.

The prototype can also be built as an electric vehicle.

This project was implemented by TTT The Team Composite AG, a specialist in CFRP passenger vehicles, in association with CT&T and Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge.

DowAksa, headquartered in Turkey, is a joint venture of the The Dow Chemical Company and Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayii AS, established in 2012.
