Diab aims at 100% fossil fuel free

Composites company Diab AB says that it aims for its production facility in Laholm, Sweden will be 100% fossil fuel free by 2019.

The company has signed an agreement for the supply of hot water and heat with energy company Adven AB which will install and operate a biofuel plant next to Diab’s facility. As well as the biofuel boiler system, a heat pump plant will be installed, making it possible to use 20-30 % of the waste heat generated in the production plant, heat that can be reused in the factory, the company says.

The plant will reportedly be completed during Q2 2019.
