The ACFRF is currently under construction at Deakin University's Waurn Ponds Campus in Geelong, Victoria, Australia. The centre will focus on improving the quality of carbon fibre materials, and expanding their application base.
Deakin University is home to the Center for Materials and Fiber Innovation (CMFI) within the Institute for Technology Research and Innovation. CMFI will lead the carbon fibre research at the ACFRF.
