Coperion GmbH, a subsidiary of Hillenbrand, Inc, has relocated its North American operations from Ramsey, New Jersey, to its other facilities located in Pitman, New Jersey, Wytheville, Virginia and Houston, Texas, USA.

The facilities in Pitman and Wytheville have gone through alterations and have increased space to accommodate the additional functions transferred to each location, the company says. In particular, the Wytheville plant has added an additional 52,000 ft2 in order to accommodate new manufacturing and assembly functions, and a warehouse department, while the Pitman location has undergone an reconstruction and now houses Coperion’s US extrusion test lab, process technology, engineering, sales, customer service, and support functions in addition to the already existing Coperion K-Tron feeding technology business.

‘The successful relocations to both Pitman and Wytheville were big steps forward in our strategy to fully integrate our Coperion and Coperion K-Tron Business Units,’ said Kimberly K Ryan, president of Coperion. ‘The realignment of our assets to take advantage of available space and to bring the management and operation teams closer together is important to the entire group.’
