The awards are presented in four categories:
- innovative products/components or applications;
- innovative processes/procedures;
- particularly attractive FRP employer; and
- research and science.
The AVK Innovation Awards aim to promote the development of new products/components and applications using fibre reinforced plastics (FRP) as well as new procedures and processes for manufacturing these FRP products. An award is also be presented to universities and institutes for outstanding work in the area of scientific research, while a further category recognises a particularly attractive FRP employer.
The awards will be presented during International AVK Conference 2013, which takes place on 16-17 September at the ICS International Congress Center in Stuttgart, in conjunction with the COMPOSITES EUROPE trade fair (17-19 September 2013).
