Composite car test dummy

Auto manufacturer Ford has worked with AOC Aliancys to develop hollow dummies for car testings made of high strength composite materials.

The dummy requirements included low weight for easy handling and limited size. It also needed to be able to adjust passenger weight by putting lead elements inside the dummy.

In close consultation with AOC Aliancys and its Distributor Euroresins, Benelux composite manfuacturer Indupol developed dummies based on AOC Aliancys’ Atlac 580 resin reinforced with an engineered fabric containing carbon fiber.
