Bye Aerospace appoints new president

Bye Aerospace, based in the US, has appointed Rod Zastrow as its new president and chief operating officer (COO).

In his role Zastrow plans to help the company complete its US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification and begin production of its eFlyer 2 electric aircraft.

He previously held roles at Spartan Global Aviation Training and was a senior US Air Force leader and F-15 combat pilot, the company said.

“[Zastrow’s] guidance will be instrumental in leading the company through the completion of the FAA certification process and transitioning to eFlyer 2 production,” said George Bye, chairman and CEO. “Of particular significance is his extensive background in global logistics, supply chain management, and support for large fleets of pilot training aircraft.”
