Axon Automotive Ltd has moved from its start-up location in Wollaston, Northamptonshire, UK to a bigger 4180 m2 factory site nearby. This relocation, funded by new parent company Bawtry Investments Ltd, reportedly follows a fourfold increase in business over the last two years.
‘The new Brackmills site has provided us with much needed factory space to expand capacity, enabling us to install a completely new in-line production facility, currently being built, which should be commissioned by the middle of this year,’ said Chris Taylor, MD of Axon Automotive.
The company supplies carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) composite beam making process technology to make lightweight vehicle chassis and structural components. The CFRP based system can be used to produce a vehicle frame which needs rigidity and high impact crash resistance performance.
