Australian military contract for composites

Australian composite manufacturer Quickstep Holdings says that the leader of a consortium of which it is a member has been selected by the Australian Government to provide the Armed Remotely Piloted Aircraft System under Project Air 7003 for the Australian Defence Force (ADF). Quickstep says that it looks forward to negotiations with General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, the leader, to develop composite manufacturing packages.  Quickstep already holds long-term defense and aerospace contracts including component manufacturing for the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Program and the C-130J and LM-100J military and commercial transport aircraft. In the last 12 months Quickstep has also secured new business with Boeing Defense and Chemring, the company says.
