ASTM Signs MoU with Argentinian standards body

ASTM International has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Argentina’s na-tional standards body.

According to the organizations, the MoU will focus on improving awareness of ASTM as a technical source of information, encouraging collaboration on topics and issues of mutual interest, and promoting standards education and related ASTM activities for students and professors. ASTM will also invite Argentinian stakeholders to participate in its technical committees to share knowledge and exchange best practices and ensure that that the standards meet and support Argentina’s needs.

"The chance to foster technology transfer, promote safety, and support economic growth is a great opportunity for all of us," said Teresa Cendrowska, vice president, global cooperation, ASTM.

"We feel very proud that with this MoU we will expand our cooperation, learn deeper about each other, and encourage Argentine experts to engage with ASTM standardization activities," said Nicolás Eliçabe, director general of the standards organization, full name El Instituto Argentino de Normalización y Certificación (IRAM).
