Arxada publishes first sustainability report

Chemicals company Arxada AG has published a report setting out its sustainability aims.

According to the company, it submitted targets to the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for validation in 2023, establishing a net zero goal by 2050 and plans to deliver more efficient processes for key chemistries, focusing on resource efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

It also wants to improve the sustainability of its products throughout their lifecycle and developing newer, more environmentally friendly technologies “in line with global regulatory requirements and the UN Sustainable Development Goals”, a press release said.

“Though early in our journey, we recognize that sustainability is not only a business imperative, but crucial to maintaining our license to operate and presents one of the most impactful and significant business opportunities of our lifetime,” said Marilyn Johnson, global sustainability leader.
