Arkema unveils five-year growth plan

Over the next five years, Arkema plans to accelerate its growth through innovation, faster growth in emerging countries, and acquisitions.

In 2015, the company has set a sales target of around €7.5 billion; it will record sales of around €5.8 billion at the end of 2010. The increase will be supported by:

  • innovation on sustainability which should generate around €400 million in new sales in the next five years – alternative energies, water treatment, composite materials and bio-plastics will be the main drivers of this innovation;
  • 60% increase of sales in emerging countries, especially Asia; and
  • selective acquisitions in strong product lines (representing around €1 billion in additional sales), completed by divestments of small non-core businesses (around €300 million sales).

Arkema's Functional Additives Business Unit produces the Luperox® range of organic peroxides used in the curing of unsaturated polyester resins.
