Additionally, there will be a price increase of US$0.06/lb for all vinyl ester products sold in Mexico. These increases are effective for all products shipped on or after 24 February 2014.
AOC says that this action is due to recent increases in its raw material costs, which are being driven by cost increases in petrochemical feedstocks, specifically aromatics and olefins such as benzene, propylene and ethylene. AOC adds that recent energy increases have also further impacted costs to produce petrochemicals and resins.
