AOC, a US headquartered supplier of resins, gel-coats, colorants, additives and synergistic material systems for composites and cast polymers, will increase prices by US$0.05/lb in the US and CN$0.11/kg in Canada for all products shipped on, or after, 3 September 2012.
AOC reports that, since June, energy prices have been increasing, resulting in higher feedstock costs. This, coupled with unplanned raw material plant outages, has driven up the cost of resin raw materials.
Ongoing price pressures on raw materials are projected to continue.
