AOC has announced the following prices increases for its vinyl ester resins:
- for all vinyl esters resins sold in Europe the price increase will be € 400/tonne, effective immediately;
- for Mexico, Latin and South America and the Caribbean, the price increas is US$0.09/lb, effective on all shipments on and after 31 May 2010;
- the price increase for the USA and Canada is US$0.09/lb (CN$0.21/kg), effective on all shipments on and after 31 May 2010; and
- for all vinyl ester resins sold in Asia, Africa and the Middle East the increase is US$500/tonne, effective immediately.
The company says the price increases are the result of global shortages and rapidly rising prices for the raw materials used to produce vinyl ester resins.
