AM manufacturer joins research group

Plastic 3D printer manufacturer BigRep has joined industrial research network the Direct Manufacturing Research Center (DMRC).   BigRep will join the consortium as the only fused deposition modeling (FDM) machine manufacturer in the network of 29 companies representing the complete additive manufacturing (AM) value chain. This includes material and machine manufacturers, service providers and end users.   The aim of the DMRC’s research projects is to improve the quality, reliability and cost efficiency of AM technology for industrial use.   ‘Being a partner in the DMRC allows us to connect with a diverse array of companies across sectors, all with a common goal – to optimize manufacturing for the future,’ said Stephan Beyer, CEO of BigRep.
