The new facility is likely be located in Rotterdam.
Airborne’s fibre reinforced thermoplastic tubing is lightweight, spoolable, fatigue resistant, corrosion free, strong and collapse resistant. It can be used for a variety of applications, such as flow lines, coiled tubing, service intervention lines and deepsea risers. It is produced using an automated, continuous winding technology. Thermoplastic prepreg tapes are welded onto a liner of the same plastic compound. Combined with a coating, a fully bonded pipe structure is created.
A pilot production line has been constructed in Airborne's facility in The Hague.

Airborne wants to become a major European player in the development and production of composite components for industrial applications. The company’s headquarters and main engineering and manufacturing facility is located in The Hague, the Netherlands. It also has a manufacturing site in Spain. Airborne employs around 120 people.
