3A Composites reports that using an optimised combination of raw material components as well as improved production technologies and equipment, AIREX T90.210 features both improved mechanical properties and FST (fire, smoke and toxicity) ratings over its predecessor. Shear strength, shear elongation and compression modulus have been improved whilst density and weight have been reduced (see chart). Fire resistance has been improved to achieve the M1/F1 rating according to the French FST norm NF F16-101. Together with AIREX T90.100 and T90.150, the new T90.210 is therefore suitable for use in fire-safe applications in the rail, road and marine markets.

Like all AIREX PET (polyethylene terephthalate) foam products, T90.210 is recyclable and CO2 is used as a natural blowing agent.

3A Composites Core Materials is a global organisation with operations in Europe, North America, Ecuador and China and is part of 3A Composites, a division of Schweiter Technologies AG.
