These products will combine 3A Composites’ structural core materials with Bcomp’s natural fibre technologies.
The first results of this collaboration are two new bCore products. These multilayer core materials consist of 3A Composites' AIREX® / BALTEK® material and Bcomp natural fibre products.
3A Composites reports that these products are currently being used in the ski and snowboard industries, where they are said to deliver the same structural performance as standard wood cores at about six times less weight. This results in skis that are around 30% lighter than current products.
