REpower will supply 40 MM92 CCV wind turbines for the 80 MW Saint-Robert-Bellarmin wind farm in Quebec and 15 MM92 CCV wind turbines for the 30 MW Ganaraska and Whispering Wood wind farms in Ontario.

The REpower MM92 CCV wind turbines are specifically designed for cold climates.

The Saint-Robert-Bellarmin project delivery is under a second call from a framework agreement with EDF Energies Nouvelles Canada Inc from November 2009.

Construction of the Saint-Robert-Bellarmin wind farm is set to start as early as summer 2011.

The contracts for the Ganaraska and Whispering Woods wind farms are with the wind energy company Wind Works Power Corp.

Andreas Nauen, CEO of REpower Systems AG, says: “Our cold-climate version of the REpower MM series perfectly suits the conditions we found at Canadian wind farm sites. We are looking forward to carrying out further projects in this market which has great potential for us.”
