Bombardier throws down the gauntlet with CSeries airliner

Bombardier says the CSeries will deliver a 20% fuel burn advantage, 15% lower operating costs and 25% lower maintenance costs compared to other aircraft in its class.

The aircraft's low-weight airframe features extensive use of advanced structural materials, including composites in the wing, empennage, nacelle and rear fuselage.

The aircraft is scheduled to enter service in 2013. We review the programme so far.
