If your company manufactures, designs or distributes products that come into contact with food or drinking water, this webinar will be valuable for you.
There is a new European regulation (10/2011) addressing plastic materials and components intended for food contact. It is important to understand this regulation to ensure compliance, thus protecting your company when it becomes effective. The new regulation applies to all unreinforced and reinforced plastics, including those that are reinforced with glass fibres. This presentation addresses glass reinforced plastics and the necessary changes that you should be aware of.
Additionally, this webinar will address the European regulation 2023/2006, which requires manufacturing to comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). GMP is required by law, bringing the supply chain to an elevated level of accountability.
What does all of this mean for you? Who should be concerned? What should you expect from your materials supplier? These are all questions which will be addressed during our presentations.
To comply with both regulations, Owens Corning has developed glass fibre solutions which cover a wide array of reinforced plastics needs for food and water contact. During the webinar, we will present information on these products and their applications, which include espresso machines, coffee machines, food mixers and processors, kitchen utensils, food manufacturing machinery, water pumps, impellers and valves, as well as many other parts and components.
