Holland partner country of COMPOSITES EUROPE 2010

18 May 2010

Holland has been named the partner country of the COMPOSITES EUROPE 2010 trade fair.

The fifth edition of COMPOSITES EUROPE takes place in Essen, Germany, on 14-16 September 2010.

Exhibitors from Holland will be present at the Dutch country pavilion.

The Dutch composites industry is represented by the Vereniging Kunststof Composieten Nederland (VKCN), the association for composites in the Netherlands.

There are approximately 350 companies active in the composites industry in Holland, of which 250 are involved in production, according to the VKCN. The Dutch composites industry is defined by small and medium-sized companies and focuses on the production of custom designs and niche markets. The major customers for fibre reinforced plastics (FRP) in Holland include the marine, construction and transport industries, but there is also a steady increase in demand from the aviation industry and the wind energy sector.

About COMPOSITES EUROPE

This year, COMPOSITES EUROPE expects to welcome 350 exhibitors from 25 countries to the trade fair at the Essen Exhibition Centre.
